Fran used her images to show the effects of light in reflection, refraction and diffraction in the panel which earned her the Associateship of the Royal Society of Photography and it was fascinating to hear in detail how she achieved her results. Her well-prepared presentation combined a description of the process of applying and preparing for a distinction with RPS, as well as the science and techniques she applies in her photography.
After the break, Fran demonstrated a typical set-up, although we couldn’t provide a dining room table, or a portable clothes rail for an infinity curve background. However, we were able to see the rudiments of the methods she uses and in this cold weather, the prospect of staying indoors to experiment with photography seemed very attractive. We look forward to hearing of Fran’s future successes.
