East Anglia Federation of Photographic Societies [EAF]
We belong to the EAF which is a constituent founder Member of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB), the parent organisation for camera clubs and photographic societies throughout the UK. Having approximately 120 member clubs and societies with in excess of 4500 individual members, the EAF is now the largest federation in the PAGB. The EAF's objectives are:
- to promote the advancement of photography by facilitating contacts and exchange of opinion between members of one society and another
- to promote exhibitions and competitions, to maintain a list of photographic judges and lecturers and organise courses, workshops and events which may be of service to member societies and thus their individual members

Quest Photographic Workshops in 2018 -e-mail to CoL&CPS from Thomas Peck
"Quest has been run by Colin Westgate for 25 years. I'm sure you will know Colin - he is a super photographer, very involved with the EAF, the UPP and the Royal Photographic Society (he’s a Fellow). He may well have judged or spoken at Cripplegate PS before. I am delighted that Colin has asked me to team up with him to run the workshops in 2018. I have experience of running workshops in the UK and the US and write for magazines such as onlandscape.co.uk and Black & White Photography. Quest prides itself on running relaxed, fun, informative workshops in amazing locations, so that everyone, from beginner to advanced, can get the best out of their camera, and we hope this will be of interest to club members in the EAF.
Between Colin and myself we will be running 8 workshops across the year. There are some great locations, both near and far. For example the Yorkshire Dales around Malham and the Northumberland Coast/Hadrian’s Wall. We will also visit the beautiful coastal landscapes of S.E. England as well as Glencoe and the Isle of Harris + Durness. Further afield we have a long weekend break to the wonderful Venice, an amazing trip to Iceland, and for the first time Quest will be going to the USA, with a trip to Yosemite scheduled in September, when the autumn colours should be showing, with some misty morning atmosphere in wonderful Ansel Adams countryside.
Would you be able to pass this email and the brochure on to your members at Cripplegate? I do hope there may be something to interest you in the programme, and look forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me either by email [firstname.lastname@example.org] or phone (07515 549485). The Quest website www.questphoto.co.uk is being completely redesigned and this will be launched in the next few weeks. If, in the meantime, you wish to make a booking, please contact Colin Westgate by email email@example.com direct."
