Marc Edwards of Ware & District Photographic Society was our independent judge for our competition on 4th October.

Photo Alan Johnson

This marvellous photo of an Oyster Smack Race by Alan Johnson won the print section with 10/10. Alan was out on the water and says, "We dragged our anchor and drifted down river. It was quite windy. When I saw these Smacks were going to come thundering past I grabbed my camera, relying on the others to look after the boat."

In the digital section two entries got the full 10/10.
