Camera Club of the Year 2017
We are taking part in the Camera Club of the Year competition 2017 run by Photography News magazine
There are five rounds and the winner of each round is invited to take part in a final one day shoot. More entries in the galleries section. Round 1 - Portraits We came in the middle of the field; 32 clubs entered with scores ranging from 89 to 72; we came 7th with 82/100 [= with one other club] and there were 12 clubs above us. Congratulations to members whose images were selected for submission -especially Claire Halas who scored 19/20 for her impressive image of a swimmer in action. Round 3 - Wildlife We didn’t enter this round. Round 3 - The Street We came joint 5th out of 30 entries; the score range was 93 to 72 with us at 87 with 6 entrants ahead of our rank. Congratulations to members whose images were selected for submission -and especially this time to Kate Shortland who scored 19 for her great image. Round 4 - Action There were 28 entries and a score range of 90 to 75; we came near the bottom of the field with 76 points and were ranked 12 with 3 other clubs. Round 5 - Landscapes Once again, we came near bottom of the field, this time with 75 points; 27 clubs participated with score range 93-74; we were = with one other club and were ranked 12th. |
